Aduro® Connect Care for Hypertension is a structured program designed to help you develop healthy habits to manage your blood pressure. Certain features (such as points earned and whether this program plays a role in earning an incentive) might vary according to your specific well-being program.
Q: Do I need a smartphone for this program?
A: No. The program is delivered through your core well-being program experience. You can enroll and engage either on the web, the Aduro Mobile App via your smartphone, or both.
Q: What are the program features?
A: The program features the following elements:
- Learning Library: High Blood Pressure: Staying Healthy practices
- Weekly Emails: 16-week Hypertension series followed by The Pulse (cardiometabolic health) series
- Live-led Coaching: Weekly SMS-based Coaching, Group Workshops and 1:1 telephonic.
Q: How do I enroll in Aduro® Connect Care for Hypertension?
A: Eligible members will receive email invitations at the email address associated with your well-being program account and/or in-app messages with enrollment links. Be on the lookout for these opportunities!
Note that employers/program providers have the option to offer Aduro® Connect Care for Hypertension to all members, and/or to target the program to certain individuals. For questions on program availability, contact your employer/program provider’s HR/benefits department, or contact our Member Experience Support team via the Submit a Request link at the top of the page.
Q: What is the Learning Library?
A: The Learning Library currently consists of 60+ standalone practices that cover the following areas: Hypertension, Behavior Change, Eating Well, Moving Well, Sleeping Well, Thinking Well, and Relating Well.
A practice is a brief digital learning session featuring one key habit or piece of information to help you on your path.
Once a member enrolls in the program, they will be auto-enrolled in the Learning Library.
We will continue to release new content into the library to meet the needs of our members and to support our coaches.
Q: Can I access the Learning Library without enrolling in the program?
A: Yes, you can enroll in the Learning Library path separately from the Aduro® Connect Care for Hypertension program. However, if you enroll in the Learning Library, you may receive communications encouraging you to enroll in Aduro® Connect Care for Hypertension.
Q: Can I opt out of the program?
A: Opt-out of the program by notifying your Aduro® Connect Care for Hypertension coach, or contacting our Member Experience Support team via the Submit a Request link at the top of the page.
Additionally, based on individual preference, you have the option to unsubscribe from the weekly coaching emails and SMS, and the option to unenroll from the Learning Library path. However, those actions will not opt you out of the program itself.
Q: How long does the program last?
A: You remain enrolled in the program for as long as you wish, until or unless you opt out. Enrollment does not end when your current well-being program period ends.
Q: What is the coaching experience like?
A: This program is designed to deliver a comprehensive and immersive coaching approach to sustained behavior change. The core program elements include the following:
- Weekly email curriculum from your coach to build foundational knowledge and healthy habits with convenient access to useful tools and resources (app, content, coaching workshops, etc.). The week 1-16 emails are focused on hypertension and lifestyle and weeks 16+ are focused more broadly on cardiometabolic health.
- SMS-based coaching - convenient and accessible 1:1 communications that are organic and interactive, allowing your coach to provide personalized support and guidance throughout the program.
- Group sessions - live workshops and small group sessions with structured facilitation by Aduro coaches, where we focus on building community. Social aspects are an important factor in behavior change by helping build motivation and accountability.
- 1:1 coaching session - to offer you individual expertise and tap into your intrinsic motivation for change.
- Coach-led challenges - to motivate and inspire you to build healthy habits related to your hypertension and overall health.
Q: How do I earn points in the program?
A: You will receive points for the following activities, based on your well-being program’s overall points economy:
- Practice completion
- Coach-led challenges
- 1:1 Coaching sessions
- Group Workshops
Q: Can I complete Aduro® Connect Care for Hypertension to earn my well-being program incentive?
A: Employers/program providers can include Aduro® Connect Care for Hypertension as an option for completing a Reasonable Alternative Standards (RAS) requirement, to earn a well-being program incentive.
For example, you might be required to meet certain biometric healthy ranges to earn an incentive. If you do not meet the required ranges, you might then be required to complete one of a group of activities to earn the incentive, and Aduro® Connect Care for Hypertension could be one of them.

Q: Does Aduro support blood pressure tracking devices?
A: Yes, If you track your blood pressure with Apple Health, Google Fit, or Fitbit, or use a device compatible with one of these services, you can link your app/device to the platform and upload your blood pressure data automatically.
