Note: the following information for the Dexcom G6 can generally be applied to the Dexcom G7 as well. The G7 does have some improved accuracy over the G6, so the discrepancies in BGM and CGM should be slightly smaller.

Connect Care is Aduro's program for supporting members who have Type 2 Diabetes. It exists within Aduro's platform, and is available to select programs and users.

Program participants may be eligible to receive a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) device for the duration of the program. Once participants complete the onboarding process, they receive a survey via email to determine their CGM eligibility.

If you've been using a Dexcom G6 CGM, you may have noted that finger stick test readings and G6 readings are not likely to match exactly.

However, if the readings are within 20% of each other, they are considered close. This is what Dexcom, the device manufacturer, refers to as the "20 rule."

The chart below shows the range within which finger stick meter readings and Dexcom G6 readings are considered close.

For example, if a finger stick meter reading is 120 (as shown in the green column on the chart), the Dexcom G6 reading is considered close if it's between 96 and 144 (as shown in the left-hand and right-hand columns).
